My staff all liked my new TurboMed AFOs, yesterday.

I got them fitted to my work shoes, with narrow heels, by using some photo hanging screws into the heels. These leave enough exposed for the AFO to rest on in the back. ... See MoreSee Less

For the last almost 11yrs, I've been in the stands. Feels amazing to be back in the game. Loving this brace and the freedom and power it's given me to once again pursue the things I love doing.
*Ive seen some comments or questions curious about the tendon transfer surgery available for foot drop. I had mine 6yrs ago if anyone has questions, I'm willing to share my experience.*

Does anyone with the TurboMed AFO have any advice on the best way to put the brace on when you only have use of hand? I have a CVA patient that has foot drop (right foot) and does not have use of the right hand. The brace works great but the patient would like to be able to put the brace on easily without help. ... I am walking better with my Turbomed brace. It feels healthier for the ankle to engage.
I have foot drop and wear the brace on my right foot. Because I've been sick and getting treatments, I haven't driven in 8 mos.
